Men of Color Action Network (MOCAN) invites you to attend its 5th annual Men of Color Leadership Conference on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Pasadena City College. This year’s theme is Breaking Barriers, which acknowledges the strength that comes from the barriers we overcome and focuses on the diverse experiences of Men of Color.  

This year’s conference will include both a student track and a professional track. Our student track is intended for community college and university students. The professional track is intended for professionals working in higher education. Although the conference focuses on the needs and experiences of Men of Color, we welcome attendees of all identities. 

We are excited to announce that this year’s keynote speakers will be Dr. Frank Harris III , Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the San Diego State University College of Education and jason chu, rapper, activist, and educator! As with each year, Men of Color Action Network strives to ensure that our conference is FREE of cost to all attendees. Additionally, we will be offering student participation grants for student attendees and will be releasing information on scholarship opportunities for student attendees on our website in the weeks to come.
